visitors regardless of purpose and length of visit require visa
to enter the Republic of Uzbekistan. Regulations require that
all visitors must hold a valid visa to enter the country, in
case a passenger fails to produce such, airline may refuse transportation
to Uzbekistan.
All applications must be processed at the Ministry
for Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan (M.F.A.). Applications to
be lodged by the invitee at M.F.A. in Uzbekistan as well as
by the traveler himself at a Diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan
abroad.
Requirements for an application depend on the
purpose of visit. Those traveling on business have to produce
invitation from a business partner, tourist should produce valid
travel documents, confirmation of an authorized and licensed
travel company in Uzbekistan required; Private invitation for
personal visits; Application form (supplied by the Embassy of
Uzbekistan); one passport size photograph. Fees depend on the
duration of stay in the country (see below).
It takes 7 working days to process the visa
at M.F.A. After the invitee receives authorization number for
visa issuance and advises it. The applicant should contact the
Diplomatic mission in the area for its issuance.
